I arrived this afternoon, got registered, and attended the first keynote of the convention–a presentation by K. David Harrison on endangered languages. If you’re not familiar, he was one of the featured linguists from the film The Linguists (2008).
K. David Harrison, anthropologist & linguist who documents endangered languages and cultures around the world, takes the stage tonight for the #TESOL19 Opening Keynote in Building A, Level 1. #Thankyou to keynote sponsor National Geographic Learning. @ExploreInside pic.twitter.com/k2ltnodRfi

The weather couldn’t be more pleasant, and with a little Google sleuthing, I was able to track down an evening repast that didn’t involve red meat, fried foods, or a week’s worth of my caloric budget.
Fingers crossed the poster session goes so well. π€
